Our History

New Lift at Alpha House
A new 10 passenger lift was installed by Schindler and commissioned.
St. Stephen’s Cathedral
VIDIC renovated and extended two residential units located next to its secretariat at a cost of Kes. 3.6 million.
AGM
The Annual General Meeting of May 2016 passed a resolution to amend VIDIC’s ownership structure, to also include the Bishop of the new Diocese of Maseno East in addition to the Bishops of the Dioceses of Maseno South, Maseno West, Bondo, Southern Nyanza and the Diocesan Bishops of the Dioceses situated in the areas originally covered by the Diocese of Maseno South in 1984. This category forms the core membership of the company.
Change Of Name
Victoria Inter-Diocesan Investment Co. Ltd (VIDIC Ltd) transformed from Inter Diocesan Properties Limited (IDP Ltd), following a change of name effected in August 2015, to reflect the organisation's new strategic direction.
Memorandum & Articles of Association
Following the change of name and inclusion of the Bishop of the Diocese of Maseno East, it became necessary to amend the Company’s Memorandum & Articles of Association to reflect these changes, among others. A draft has already been prepared by the Company Secretary and approved by the Board of Management (BOM) and Board of Trustees (BOT), pending conclusion and presentation of the same to the general meeting for adoption. In addition, the Companies Act, (Cap.486), (now repealed), was replaced by the Companies Act, 2015 in September, 2015. The proposed changes to the Memorandum & Articles of Association are also meant to align them to the Companies Act, 2015.
Alpha House
VIDIC undertook extension of Alpha House by two floors.
Registration
Inter-Diocesan Properties LTD (IDP) was registered in March 1996 under Cap 486 of the Company Act as a company limited by Guarantee without Share Capital under the leadership of the Late Bishop John Henry Okullu.
